Golf For The Beginner
Golf is game of lines where you are going to hit the ball, how you stand to hit the ball, and on the green, when you are putting. Golf is all about hitting the ball to a place where you want to then sink the ball into a hole, with fewer swings than anyone else. The more times you hit the ball, the higher your overall score is going to be. Many professionals and golf players will offer you advice on how to stand, where to stand, how to hold your club, and where your feet should be. One thing is important to remember is one technique doesn't work, look for another. While every person has their own little tricks in hitting the ball to the place where you want it to be, it does not mean that you are going to be able to mimic every little movement and be successful in doing it well. One important thing to remember that, no matter who you are going to take advice from, your best possible advice is to get out there and golf when you have a free moment. While you may not feel good about the numbers you are getting as you first start playing, the only way to get better is to get back out there and keep working on it. Practice is going to involve both your long and short swings. The long swings are from the tee off, to the green, this could be a long or a short couple of hundred yards to the next green. The short swings are going to involve how you putt the ball. If you are on the green, which could be ten to fifteen feet wide, you want to hit the ball softly and into the hole directly as possible. Sometimes the lay of the land, the grass, the wind, and even how hard you are hitting the ball is going to affect how you sink the ball into the hole. Motion is going to enable you to learn the game. Watch the motion of those who are playing golf before you. Watch the motion of the ball as it is hit down the fairway, and watch the motion of the golf ball as it bounces and rolls across the grass. As you see the ball taking action and how that action can so easily change, you will easily find yourself drawn to making that ball move differently and more efficiently to the green.
